Fishing
If you haven't visited and you're in the Sacramento area, I highly recommend this county park. There was a great fishing pond, horseback riding, goats, ducks to feed and lots of picnic ares. We went fishing early on this very hot day. We didn't have any luck, but did have a lot of fun!

Hidden Treasure
We found this very cool nursery last weekend. Mostly Japanese Maples, but hundreds of other fun trees and plants. We could have stayed there for hours exploring. It's 5+ acres of garden and smack dab in the middle is a gorgeous koi pond. For 25 cents you can get a handful of fish food and feed the beautiful swimmers.
In true Kainoa form, if there is a sprinkler to be found....he finds it!
I had a little fun in photoshop with these....tried a couple different "finishes". Saturday, May 30, 2009
Our First Harvest
Here's what we picked this morning. (the bright red tomato didn't make it inside the house!)
And here's some of what's to come!

Lego Land!!!!
We had such an amazing time! We met up with very good friends for a fun couple days in the San Diego area. Ben and Kainoa became fast friends and I'm only sorry these two super guys hadn't met earlier. I highly recommend this trip to anyone with building obsessed or crazy busy little people in their lives. We could have easily spent another day there just playing in the water park or the huge climbing structure.

We also took a short trip to the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park. If it weren't at the end of a very busy trip, we might have made it through the day. We will certainly go back there in a few years. If you have a wild animal in your life, this is a great park to visit.
